Callbutton Names Michael Markette President and CEO

DALLAS, TEXAS – February 12, 2001 – Callbutton, a recently launched provider of web interaction software and telecommunications services that allow businesses to interact one-on-one with potential and current online customers, announced today the naming of Michael Markette as the company's new president and CEO.

Markette comes to Callbutton from Seattle, Wash., where he headed a spin-off of Onyx Software (NASDAQ: ONXS) that helped independent sales representatives, sales teams and partners acquire and distribute sales leads. Markette brings more than a decade of experience in raising capital and growing CRM-based businesses serving industry giants such as MCI WorldCom and ADP.

"Callbutton was founded to provide online businesses direct contact with Internet buyers," said Eric Lenington, Callbutton chairman and founder. "Tried and true person-to-person response is what creates sales and customer loyalty. We're delighted to welcome a company leader with the skills and experience of Mike Markette, who understands the principles of one-to-one marketing in a digital environment."

As an entrepreneur, consultant and business leader, Markette launched LeadSwap Network (Sales Lead Acquisition Application and Exchange) that transitioned sales and customer service professionals to Internet technology. He employed more than 20 people, landed almost $2 million in funding, including a strategic investment from Onyx Software (NASDAQ: ONXS), and won major clients.

Markette also served as vice president of Marketing and Sales for Geneva Systems, Inc., a southern California manufacturing software provider. At Geneva Systems, he increased sales from less than $1 million to nearly $5 million annually. Markette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
